Software architecture to move your existing platform forward.
We review existing platforms to understand what makes them difficult to change and what should be addressed first. We map data, modules, permissions and integrations, then propose a technical plan your team can implement in stages.
Who this is for
For technical leads, product teams and businesses with a platform in use who need to decide how to maintain it, extend it or migrate parts of it.
Does this sound familiar?
- A small feature requires changes across many modules, and nobody is sure what might break.
- Business rules are scattered across code, integrations and manual tasks that are hard to trace.
- You need to choose between refactoring and rebuilding, but lack a dependency map and a validated scope.
What the service covers
Scope is agreed with your team before work begins.
Map of the current platform
We review the agreed documentation and code, critical journeys and external dependencies. We map how data flows and where business decisions are made.
Boundaries, contracts and permissions
We examine module responsibilities, the data model, API contracts and role access. We identify coupling and duplicated rules that make changes difficult.
Technical options and priorities
We document findings and their evidence, alternatives and the dependencies of each change. We prioritise based on operational impact, product needs and the effort your team needs to validate.
Evolution or migration plan
We propose stages with objectives, acceptance criteria and conditions for moving to the next stage. For migrations, we define affected data, compatibility and a rollback procedure where feasible.
How we work
- 01
Agree on the decision you need to make
We start with a specific problem: slow changes, a pending integration or a platform that needs to grow. Together, we define the systems, access and questions the review should cover.
- 02
Check the system against real journeys
We follow the main flows, examine relevant code and check dependencies with the people operating and developing the product. We distinguish verified findings from hypotheses that still need validation.
- 03
Turn the assessment into decisions
We review the map, alternatives and work sequence together. Your team can use the plan; if you need support implementing it, we agree that scope afterwards.
Refactor, migrate or retain: decide with context.
Older technology or imperfect code alone does not justify a rewrite. We compare the cost of continuing as things are with the constraints of change: service continuity, data, integrations and team capacity. Improving a boundary or replacing a module can be more useful than rebuilding the entire platform.

Catalònia OS · In development
We are building Catalònia OS as the modular platform for Catalònia Hoquei Club. Its architecture separates the public website, data services and integrations, with multilingual content and a read-only API for connecting to Playoff. Internal operations and the members’ app are part of its future development.

- What do we receive at the end of a technical audit?
- The agreed scope can include an architecture map, findings with their evidence, recommended decisions and a phased plan. We define which systems and journeys will be reviewed at the start, so the assessment has clear boundaries and helps you prioritise work.
- Can you review software built by another team?
- Yes, provided we have authorised access to the code, documentation and people needed to understand it. We work with the current team and make clear what we have verified and what information is missing.
- Does the review require us to hire you for development afterwards?
- We can agree a technical review with its own deliverables. Implementation is a separate scope: your team can carry it out, or we can collaborate on the modules and changes you choose.
- How much does an architecture review cost, and how long does it take?
- That depends on the systems, journeys, integrations and review depth. To propose a budget and schedule, we need to understand the problem, available access and the decision you want to make. A bounded review lets you start with the area that most affects the business.
Before rebuilding your platform, understand what needs to change.
Tell us what is difficult to evolve, who maintains the system and which decision is pending. We will define a technical review with a scope your team can use.
Other needs we can help with
A website with a backoffice built around your business.
We design and build custom websites connected to an administration panel. Your team can manage content, users and processes from a shared foundation, with clear permissions and a public website people can discover.
